We have exciting opportunities for excellent candidates with a background in Aquatics (Lifeguarding) to join our Network Support team!


As a Lead Network Support, you will be providing support to teams by being the cover for planned leave and training (30 hours per week*). No week will be the same as you will be rostered on a variable schedule across 6** sites working in both the Customer Support and Lifeguarding functions.


This role will provide you with the opportunity to upskill across multiple functions to become a highly competent team member. With the variety of this role, you’ll have even more opportunities to develop your active recreation career. 


As a Lead Network Support, you will play an integral role in living our customer promise: to enable Aucklanders to Get Active Their Way.

It goes without saying that you’ll have a passion for aquatics and sharing your knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues to improve water safety. 


We are looking for someone that can create meaningful relationships as they move between teams, have a passion for learning and enjoys the variety of an ever-changing roster. 


You will be an excellent communicator, mature and committed to make a difference in our local communities which will complement your role within our Customer Support team too. 


Knowledge, skills, and a minimum of 1 years’ experience within the aquatics industry is desirable. This role requires a PLPC lifeguard qualification however training can be provided for the right candidate. In addition to the Aquatics and Customer Support roles, there are also opportunities to also work across Recreation and Fitness* as part of this role.
*The Fitness Instructor role requires REPS Level 2 Registration

Our centres are open 7 days a week so flexibility will be key, with early morning shifts from 5:00 am and late shifts up to 10:00 pm as well as the expectation to work 1 weekend day.
*This is a permanent role with a minimum contract of 30hrs with the opportunity to work up to 40hours through picking up additional shifts.


** Locations including Albany, Birkenhead, East Coast Bays (Browns Bay), Glenfield, Takapuna as well as the option between West Wave (Henderson) OR Stanmore Bay.


Please note, this role requires attendance of mandatory training sessions which take place from September through to October, so availability around this time is essential.
