We have exciting opportunities for excellent candidates with a background as a Fitness Instructor to join our Network Support team!


As a Lead Network Support, you will be providing support to teams by being the cover for planned leave and training (16 hours per week*). No week will be the same as you will be rostered on a variable schedule across 6** sites in the Fitness and Customer Support functions.  


You will be helping people achieve their health and wellbeing goals, delivering fitness programmes for all ages and abilities across our diverse community and providing outstanding customer service to our customers. 


This role will provide you with the opportunity to upskill across multiple functions to become a highly competent team member. With the variety of this role, you’ll have even more opportunities to develop your active recreation career. 


As a Lead Network Support, you will play an integral role in living our customer promise: to enable Aucklanders to Get Active Their Way.

You will be an enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive person who thrives on client contact and have a proven ability to communicate effectively to provide a high level of client satisfaction through the programmes you deliver. 


Our Customer Support team are outgoing and customer-focused so your matching skills will complement your talent as a Fitness Instructor and enable you to excel in both roles. With impeccable time management skills, you’ll be confident completing administrative tasks and processes. You will also be a fast learner with great initiative. 


A recognised fitness related qualification is required and knowledge of fitness training including fitness testing and monitoring of clients is advantageous, also holding a current REP's Certificate, Exercise Consultant Level 2 and First Aid Certificate. In addition to the Fitness and Customer Support roles, there are also opportunities to also work across Recreation and Aquatics as part of this role.

Our centres are open 7 days a week so flexibility will be key, with early morning shifts from 5:00 am and late shifts up to 10:00 pm as well as the expectation to work 1 weekend day.
*This is a permanent role with a minimum contract of 16 hours with the opportunity to work up to 40hours through picking up additional shifts.


** Locations including Albany, Birkenhead, East Coast Bays (Browns Bay), Glenfield, Takapuna as well as the option between West Wave (Henderson) OR Stanmore Bay.

Please note, this role requires attendance of short, mandatory training sessions which take place from September through to October, so availability around this time is essential.
