The Resource Consents Streamline team provide an optimal experience for Auckland Council customers by turning around straightforward consent applications quickly and accurately. Our efficient workflow makes the resource consenting process easier and more timely for Aucklanders, and frees up our other teams to support bigger and more complex projects. Because of our unique working model, we can offer team members unrivalled flexibility with their hours and working location.


We are looking for a customer-focussed Intermediate Planner to join our team. This role will see you working apply your resource management expertise to the assessment of straightforward resource consent applications. You will provide accurate professional advice, both verbally and in writing to applicants and the public, to ensure applicants and affected parties are aware of their rights and responsibilities while increasing their understanding of planning processes and regulatory controls. While this is a full-time role, we could potentially offer part-time hours to the right candidate.

You’ll be an experienced Planner with a passion for customer experience, and might be on the hunt for a more flexible working environment to suit your lifestyle. You’ll have at least 2 years planning experience under your belt, a relevant tertiary qualification, and relevant knowledge of the Resource Management Act. You’ll have a strong customer service ethic, excellent case management and both written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, you’ll be an excellent team player, and committed to coaching your colleagues who might need support.
