He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Film Facilitator to join the incredible team at Screen Auckland.
The film industry is a significant contributor to Auckland’s economy and Auckland Unlimited proudly manages the Auckland film office on behalf of the region.
In this role you will provide film production facilitation and permit services, industry advocacy, production partnership and attraction functions.
The projects you will work on vary with a range from ½ days to 6 weeks, with budgets ranging from thousands of dollars to millions.
Day-to-day you could expect to work on:
- Building excellent relationships with industry and regulatory experts and contributing to an improved film reputation through excellent customer service experience
- Facilitating and project managing film activity and operations to ensure that film shoots are effectively managed
- Proactively identifying issues and lead resolutions to maximum strategic benefit
- Actively working with stakeholders to support screen production activity in the Auckland Region
- All project work is completed efficiently, according to strategic objectives, safely and on time
He kōrero mōu: About you
The successful applicant will ideally:
- Have a diploma or equivalent screen industry experience, project management or events management experience (or related discipline)
- Hold a current New Zealand drivers’ licence
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the screen industry, project management or related field
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills including the ability to deliver presentations, chair meetings or similar forum
- Be highly organised – plans and prioritises well and manages time to focus self and others on the most important activities
- A good understanding and knowledge of the New Zealand screen industry
