Tātaki Auckland Unlimited (TAU) is a newly created council-controlled organisation (CCO) established with an important mandate to drive investment, supporting Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland businesses to innovate and thrive, enhancing Auckland as a culturally vibrant city, telling the Tāmaki Makaurau story, and importantly providing experiences and opportunities for all. 

 

We are looking for Event Development Manager to join the team in a fixed-term role available from September 2022 - June 2023.

 

In this role you will support event organisers to deliver world-class events that drive sustainable economic growth, showcase Auckland's unique identity and make it a vibrant and interesting region where people love to live, work and visit.  

 

You will also be managing a portfolio of event partnerships to identify and execute opportunities to meet the objectives of Auckland's Major Events Strategy.

You have a great depth of experience in designing and/or delivering major events or managing commercial partnerships.

 

Together with a growth mindset you are a people person who is passionate about assisting others and identifying ways to make processes more efficient. You are a team player with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills with exception attention to detail.
 
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a high level of problem solving and decision-making skills, using professional judgement.
