He angitūtanga: The opportunity  

 

We currently have five casual Customer Service positions available; you will need to be available to work a variety of shifts including at least 2 weekends in every month and at least 2 weekdays.  

 

Part of this role will be to host and manage the booked birthday parties and deliver our Te Wao Nui Tours and Tamariki Time when available. Tamariki Time is a joyful experience for all involved where you will go through songs and movement entertaining the young children.  

 

You will also be required to support other parts in our front facing customer service environment.

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

We are looking for out-going, confident and enthusiastic kaimahi who can provide outstanding customer service and manaakitanga to our visitors.

 

As a guideline you will have: 

 

  • Experience within a customer facing environment.
  • The ability to build rapport easily with customers.
  • An understanding of tikanga Māori or be conversationally strong in Te Reo Māori
  • Previous experience working with Tamariki would be advantageous.
  • Availability over the Xmas and New Year period is required

 

You will also be keen to learn more about work within the Visitor Services space and supporting the wider team.

The rate per hour for these roles is the living wage of $27.80 per hour.

  • We will be holding an assessment day for this role in lieu of traditional interviews. Please only apply if you can attend in person on the day. No exceptions can be made. Tuesday 12th November 1230pm – 330pm at Auckland Zoo.

  • You need to be present in New Zealand at the time of application and have the right to work in NZ already. We are unable to support visa applications for this role.
