We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Crowd Safety & Security Manager (CSSM) to join our Event Delivery team. In this role, you will work closely with the Event Manager and/or Duty Manager to lead crowd safety, public safety, and security operations across major events. You will ensure security protocols, health and safety requirements, and legislative obligations are embedded across all phases of event delivery, including pack-in and pack-out periods. You will be confident operating in fast-paced environments and applying sound judgement during live event operations
He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess a combination of expertise, leadership skills, effective communication, and adaptability to ensure the smooth and safe management of large crowds at events. You will have 5+ years of experience supervising events and/or security staff and 5+ years of experience managing facility and event operations.
You will also hold a full New Zealand driver's licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship management develops and nurtures trust-based relationships.
- Understanding of current provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Risk manager identifies, analyses, and communicates safety and security-related risks.
- The ability to work independently and to manage priorities.

- Excellent communication and administrative skills.
- Willing and able to work a varied schedule at times, including evenings and weekends during stadium events.
- Confident user of MS Office applications.
- Experienced in the operation of comprehensive CCTV systems, access control systems, and building fire detection and alarm systems.
