Corporate Property looks after all buildings and office accommodation for over 7,000 staff in Auckland Council. We are right sizing our portfolio and making our buildings reflect the new ways of working.

As a result of this transformational phase, a new role has come up to manage current and new contracts, as well as to look after a small but critical facility that will be incorporated into the Portfolio in 2023.

 

The Corporate Facilities and Contract Manager (CFCM) will be part of an experienced team that manages all aspects of Facility and Asset Management of Council’s owned and leased buildings. In doing this, the Corporate Facilities and Contract Manager will:

 

  • Support procurement activities including negotiation of commercial terms in accordance with Auckland Council protocols
  • Manage circa of 15 contracts (hard and soft services) including contracts for a critical facility.
  • Prepare and manage contract-related documents, including agreements, variations, notices/correspondence, and payment claims.
  • Facilities Management activities for a small but critical facility (from 2023)
  • Liaison with the wider Corporate Property team to identify and manage commercial risks
  • Support the preparation, review, and response to contractual correspondence
  • Maintain all necessary registers, contractual documentation, and templates
  • Collaborating with our stakeholders to ensure a successful delivery of FM/AM activities

Smart and driven, you will be a tertiary qualified in FM or operations professional who is an analytical thinker with strong Contract Management experience (5-8 years). 

 

You have a positive personality and can-do attitude, taking ownership of your role, and adding value to the team.

 

In addition, you will have strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
