Auckland Council’s Community Wellbeing department has an opportunity for an Arts, Culture, and Events Graduate to join their team. 

 

  • Join a collaborative and engaging team who deliver creative, cultural, and community services that enrich the lives of Aucklanders.
  • Support vibrant city-wide events like CultureFest and Movies in Parks,  through hands-on experience in event production, civic engagement, and public facilitation.
  • Empower creativity and inclusion by contributing to asrts and culture projects, creative programming, and strategic partnerships that reflect Auckland’s diverse communities and Te Ao Māori values, and amplifying those stories.

 

You can expect to be involved in a range of projects, research and programmes which will involve working within various teams including:

  • Arts & Culture
  • Events
  • Community Delivery

We are looking for innovative graduates who bring both creativity and capability.
You’ll thrive if you have:

  • Project management skills to support planning, coordination, and delivery of impactful community initiatives.
  • Digital savvy in social media, content creation, and marketing to help amplify our stories and connect with diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong communication and adaptability to work across arts, events, and community spaces.

 

 

We welcome applications from a range of degrees and disciplines, but a strong interest in arts, culture, and event planning would be beneficial.

 

 

To be eligible to apply, you must have the following:

  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand for more than 3 years without sponsorship
  • Minimum of a relevant Bachelor’s degree completed January 2024 – January 2026
  • A valid New Zealand restricted or full driver’s license (if role requires)
