To evolve further in how we better deliver exceptional service to our communities, our Customer Experience and Digital Services department under Group Shared Sevices is hiring for a season Change Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering and embedding change across key initiatives, including a significant Salesforce implementation. 

 

Reporting to the Head of Business Improvement and Enterprise Change, this role:

 

  • Integrates change management thinking into every stage of the initiative lifecycle — from definition and design through to planning, resourcing, and successful implementation.
  • Identify change risks, assessing impacts and readiness, and providing clear, actionable advice.
  • Work closely with project teams and business leads to ensure change is delivered in a way that supports both people and customers, enabling a smooth transition to new systems and processes.

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

To succeed in this role you’ll need to have led change and have the credibility and resilience to operate at the highest levels of Auckland Council during significant technology-driven transformation.

 

Key qualifications and skills we are looking for include:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline plus extensive experience in business transformation and organisational change within large, complex environments.
  • At least 5–6 years’ proven delivery of formal change management for major programmes with a strong emphasis on Salesforce or other enterprise system implementations and large-scale technology change initiatives.
  • Savvy Communicator including a track record of driving adoption, embedding sustainable change, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value.
  • Expertise in change impact assessment,  executive level stakeholder engagement, and steering organisations through shifting priorities will be critical because our ideal candidate will  take complex technical and organisational challenges, distil them into clear, strategic insights, and influence decision-making across executive and operational levels.


This is not an advisory role—it’s a lead position driving key technology changes.
