He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We’re looking for an Asset Information Specialist to join our Portfolio Performance team within Auckland Council’s Resilience and Infrastructure division.
In this role, you’ll turn property data into meaningful insights that improve how we manage and invest in our property portfolio. Working closely with the Senior Asset Information Specialist and other property leaders, you’ll ensure that asset information is robust, accurate, and drives great decision-making.
This is a role where your analysis and data management skills will directly support the delivery of asset management plans, service level agreements, renewal programmes, and long-term sustainability outcomes for Auckland.
A full, clean NZ driver’s licence for this role would be ideal.
You could expect to work on:
- Turning property data into clear insights that guide smart investment decisions.
- Shaping asset management plans and renewal programmes that keep Auckland’s portfolio performing at its best.
- Partnering with Asset, Property, Facilities Managers, stakeholders and third party contractors to capture accurate and timely condition survey data.
- Helping develop future-focused renewal plans with senior asset leaders.
- Championing SPM Assets, making sure the system is well-used and delivering value across the asset management team and stakeholders.
He kōrero mōu: About you
We’re looking for someone with:
- A tertiary qualification in information management or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years’ experience working with computerised asset management systems (SPM Assets experience is ideal).
- Strong knowledge of asset management standards, principles and property asset data structures.
- Confidence liaising with property managers, facilities managers, contractors, and service providers.
- Strong communication skills who is comfortable working within an agile environment.
Professional membership of a relevant body and a good understanding of information management standards for local government would be advantageous.
