Amotai is an economic initiative creating opportunity in the supply chain for Māori and Pasifika businesses throughout Aotearoa. We support and advocate for supplier diversity across government agencies, the private sector, Iwi and Pasifika groups.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the socio-economic outlook of Aotearoa.

 

We are searching for an Amotai Relationship Manager to drive the development of a prosperous and sustainable Māori and Pasifika business sector in Te Wai Pounamu – south island based either in Canterbury or Southland.  

 

Reporting to the Amotai Manukura, you will take a strategic, data driven approach to growing business activity across Māori and Pasifika businesses. You will build and support relationships with the Amotai buyer network, business support stakeholders and Māori and Pasifika businesses to help drive the development of a prosperous and sustainable Māori and Pasifika business sector in Aotearoa. 

 

In this role you will focus on:

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Building the capability of buyers to engage Māori and Pasifika suppliers
  • Identifying opportunities in the supply chain for Māori and Pasifika businesses
  • Leading complex work programmes and projects relating to supplier diversity
  • Sharing your knowledge and advice

 

This is a fixed term opportunity until 30 June 2024 with potential to extend.

Your background will demonstrate significant experience working across the Māori and Pasifika business sector in a similar role. You’ll also have a commitment to making a difference in business for Māori and Pacific people. 

 

You understand the issues affecting Māori and Pasifika people in business. Ideally, you will have strong, well-established networks that you can tap into to create positive change.

 

You will be comfortable presenting to a wide range of people. Commercial acumen and knowledge of small to medium business enterprises, as well as your understanding of Indigenous societies and cultures and supplier diversity will be key to uplifting Māori and Pasifika businesses and increasing their market share in Auckland’s economy.
