As an Activation Advisor, your role provides a conduit between local boards and community play, sport and recreation and activation delivery partners.
You will design projects and programmes that get communities active and improve social cohesion to the many communities of Tāmaki Makaurau.
You will be one of two Activation Advisors, whose primary focus is programme design, management, marketing and monitoring of the local board funded regional Activation programme “Out and About Auckland – Tāmaki Makaurau”
He kōrero mōu: About you
We're looking for a multi-tasking superstar with a passion for getting communities moving through play and active recreation. Experience in working with Māori and Pasifika and/or South Auckland communities would be advantageous, and a good awareness of how to best meet the needs of communities who are not engaged in the structured sporting environment.
We will be looking for the following skills/attributes:
- Community Engagement: Passion for promoting play and active recreation, with experience in working with Māori, Pasifika, and South Auckland communities.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills, ability to manage own work programme, and build strong relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners.
- Social Media Management: Co-admin of a Facebook page with 21,000+ followers, using platforms like Eventbrite for marketing and promoting activities.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and experience with Asana.
- Budget and Reporting: Experience in managing budgets, preparing memos, reports, and presenting to elected members.
- Qualifications: Minimum 5 years in community development, sport and recreation sector, or local government, with attention to detail and strong time management skills.

Salary Range - $90,828 – $100,920 depending on experience.
