He angitūtanga: The opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Market Supervisor with experience in promoting and growing a market that responds to the community's needs.  You will be responsible for coordinating market day operations including collection and receipting of monies, traffic control and ensure the safety and security of both customers and stall-holders.

He kōrero mōu: About you

The purpose of the role is to ensure the effective coordination and growth of the twice-weekly community centre market at the Wesley Centre.

To be considered for the opportunity, you need to demonstrate: 

•           1 years' experience in similar role working with diverse communities

•           Ability to deal with various stall-holder issues and concerns in a tactful manner

•           Demonstrate your ability to manage all aspects of the market programme

•           Excellent interpersonal skills

 This position is deemed a safety-sensitive position and will require pre-employment drug testing. Auckland Council is committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. A component of this role involves interaction with children so, as a part of the assessment of candidates, we will require Police Vetting of candidates to ensure we are providing a safe environment for children. This requirement complies with the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
