Keeping Auckland safe and thriving is the aim of the Safety Collective Tāmaki Makaurau. Hosted by Auckland Council, the Collective is a key member of the Pan-Pacific Safe Communities Network, which provides an approach to building liveable communities where people can go about their daily activities in an environment without fear, risk of harm or injury.


We are looking for a Data analyst who can help realise this by:

  • Identifying and collating key injury prevention and community safety data from a range of sources
  • Analyse the data to support the priorities of the Safety Collective and key partners
  • Tell a compelling story about that data using creative methods which connect with a diverse audience.

He kōrero mōu: About you

This role will suit someone with a strong background in data analysis, especially in a public policy context. We are keen to hear from candidates who are excited by fresh and accessible ways that data can be communicated, and which resonate with Aucklanders. Relevant tertiary qualification in statistics, business, social sciences or related field would be ideal. A current and relevant NZ Driver’s licence would be beneficial.
A good understanding of community safety and injury prevention would be a bonus.
