He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Our pool and leisure facilities are more popular than ever, and as Team Leader Aquatics for either Lloyd Elsmore or Moana Nui-a-Kiwa Pools and Leisure Centre you will play a key part to improve the customer experience for all Aucklanders that visit our Centres and take the management of our Centres to another level.

You will be responsible for effectively leading the day to day operation of the aquatics and swim school teams. You will also be responsible for the delivery of aquatics-based programmes.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will have management experience in a similar aquatics environment with relevant professional qualifications and a strong understanding of poolside health and safety and experience in developing and leading a lifeguard team. Joining an energetic and passionate team, you will be an influential leader with experience managing and developing a high performing team within a leisure facility.

You’ll need to currently hold a First Aid Certificate, a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate, Plant Room and Water Treatment Certificates. As the centre operates 7 days a week, reliability and commitment to working early, late and weekend shifts are crucial.

You'll be working 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days. We currently have vacancies for Lloyd Elsmore and Moana Nui-a-kiwa Pool and Leisure Centres.
