He angitūtanga: The opportunity  

We are looking for people who are currently studying to become a personal trainer/fitness instructor or already are, to join our Network Support team on a permanent part time basis (hours can increase in time if you want more).

 

REPs operate a registration body for exercise professionals, exercise facilities and education providers in New Zealand. For members of the public and other health professionals, registration with REPs is the recognised standard to ensure safe and effective exercise advice.

 

We will assist you in attaining your REPs qualification if you are close to being able to apply for this.

 

As a Network Support Lead, you will be covering for a variety of locations across the Southern and East centres, namely:

 

Allan Brewster (Papatoetoe), Howick, Lloyd Elsmore, Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa (Mangere), Manurewa, Otara, Outdoor Experience (Otara), Pakuranga and Te Matariki Clendon.

 

As a Fitness Instructor for our Leisure Centres, you will be helping people achieve their health and wellbeing goals and delivering fitness programmes for all ages and abilities across our diverse community.

 

With our Leisure Centres more popular and busier than ever, our fitness teams play a vital part in ensuring that visitors are kept motivated, interested, and eager to return.
 

You will also assist and cover for our Customer Service Team on Reception.


He kōrero mōu: About you 
Joining a proactive and dynamic team, you’ll be a keen team player with a flexible approach. You’ll be comfortable to ask questions and build your knowledge to be able to use your initiative to provide innovative and appropriate fitness solutions. With impeccable time management skills, you’ll be confident with administrative tasks and processes. 
 
A recognised fitness related qualification is required - or be close to attaining, (within a few months)  and knowledge of fitness training, including fitness testing and monitoring of clients, is advantageous.

Our shifts are rostered across Monday to Sunday, both early morning and evening shifts.

 

We also encourage skillset development and as such you have the opportunity to add to your hours by taking on other roles within the centre such as Recreation Assistants, Lifeguards and Customer Service Reps.
