He angitūtanga: The opportunity

You will be on the frontline helping combat the spread of kauri dieback disease, protecting our environment, our community and our precious taonga.  Working outdoors, you will be policing our closed tracks, parks and controlled areas. The Hunua Ranges will be your focus, but your work will take you across Tāmaki Makaurau. You will join a passionate team set on an important mission to save our Kauri.

You’ll have a passion for the outdoors and protecting our sacred taonga. You’re an excellent communicator and not afraid to have difficult conversations with a range of people.  You’ll depend on your highly-developed interpersonal skills and will put your negotiation and conflict resolution skills to good use.  You are a team player and collaborator, safety conscious and solution-focused.

These roles would suit individuals passionate about the environment with a background in law enforcement, investigation or driving compliance outcomes.

These are rostered roles which will include weekend work and optional overtime work.
