We are seeking a casual gallery assistant to assist with the day to day running of the facility, facilitating high-quality exhibitions, events, and programmes with a strong community focus.
A key component of this role is to provide outstanding customer service and to liaise with the general public, community organisations, artists, and contractors. You will be expected to work with the team to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the gallery, support exhibition installations and openings, and deliver engaging public programmes.
Papakura Art Gallery comprises professional standard performing arts, gallery and studio spaces with a focus on Māori and Pacific arts practice of national and international reputation as well as supporting local creativity and the arts in its Makerspace.
Nathan Homestead Pukepuke is a treasured community arts space and home to an exciting range of arts and community programmes and events. Recently refurbished, with a new café offer and situated within the beautiful David Nathan Park, we offer programmed and community led activities as well as venue for hire spaces.

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Te Ao Māori values and principles
• Have basic knowledge of facility function and service.
