He angitūtanga: The opportunity

AIM Services is a leading provider of open space and full facility maintenance services, looking after Auckland's parks, sports fields, streets, community buildings, stormwater and the airport. AIM Services is also responsible for the full facilities management contracts for the North Shore, Waikumete and Manukau Memorial cemeteries.

This role will see you as a Groundsperson at the Auckland Airport delivering a range of services covering open spaces maintenance including: mowing, gardening, horticultural, hard surfaces, edging, litter control, spraying, and park furniture maintenance.

The type of outcome focussed people we are seeking will have the ability and enthusiasm to work in a multi-skilled team to provide a total package of superior service to the sites. The work will offer you a great opportunity to develop skills across the whole of range of site delivery requirements, rather than a single skillset, e.g. just gardening.

He kōrero mōu: About you

Naturally, you will have passion and flair for gardening. A strong Health and Safety focus is essential. Previous experience in horticulture, landscaping, or a similar background would be an advantage. Strong people skills and the ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with key stakeholders would be key determinants to your success in this role. Attitude to seek the right solutions to challenges and continuous improvements would help you succeed in this role. 

A Clean full New Zealand drivers’ licence is required for this role.

You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday (5-day roster). Occasionally, you would also need to do night shifts and On-call work when required.
