Auckland Council’s Glenfield Pool is looking for a ‘Learn to Swim’ instructor to join our team.  
 
Day-to-day you could expect to work on: 

  • Teaching people the basic principles of how to swim (we'll teach you how to do this!)
  • Maintaining a fun, caring and safe environment for customers and visitors
  • Being part of an amazing team serving your local community

 
You will need to be available for at least one 1-weekday shift and 1-weekend shift, for a minimum of 3 hours each shift as follows:  

  • Monday – Thursday mornings 9.15am – 12.30pm
  • Monday – Friday afternoons 3.15pm – 6.30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday mornings 8.15am – 12pm

He kōrero mōu: About you 

 
This role requires you to be at least 16 years of age to apply. You’ll be passionate about working with all members of the public in their journey learning how to swim.  
 
Previous experience working with children is beneficial, but it’s not essential. We will provide you with all the training you need to succeed and a formal qualification within 12 months of working on the job! 
 
You will need to be comfortable:  

  • Completing First Aid training 
  • Learning how to deliver lessons to babies, children and young people 
  • Undergoing police vetting and drug test prior to commencing employment

The hourly rate for this position is living wage, $23.65
