We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible person to join our catering team as kitchen hand in our busy and vibrant staff café and canteen based in our main Auckland Council Building on Albert Street, in the Auckland CBD.


He kōrero mōu: About you
This role involves cleaning and maintaining of our main kitchen area, including washing dishes and equipment.  You also be helping with serving during peak periods as well as supporting our chefs with basic food preparation, including unloading and storing stock correctly and safely. 

 

With your high standards of personal presentation and hygiene, excellent communication and social skills you have the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced, high energy environment.   As there is some heavy lifting required, a good standard of health and fitness is required.

 

Ideally you will have some solid work experience in event/functions already and having a Food Safety Certificate is preferred.

This is a Monday to Friday permanent role for 32 hours per week, starting at 7am daily.  Flexibility to work additional hours would be advantageous..
