He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Auckland City is experiencing large growth, which creates some exciting opportunities as we work hard to preserve our community, environment and infrastructure. We’re looking for experienced specialists or graduates to join our Lifecycle Management team within the Healthy Waters department at Auckland Council. The Lifecycle Management teams manage the operation and maintenance of the stormwater network, including emergency response.  You’ll be contributing to the effective operation of the stormwater network including water sensitive infrastructures, streams and ponds. You’ll also collaborate with other teams across the Healthy Waters department to support on the delivery of planned and minor capital works projects.

He kōrero mōu: About you

We’re interested in hearing from experienced engineers and/or environmental science specialists or graduates with some relevant work experience. You’ll have a background in or understanding of the stormwater network and ideally have experience in or knowledge of native plants and/or plant science.  We’re also looking for someone motivated by a dynamic and varied working environment, as the role is both office and field-based.  A natural collaborator, we’ll value your strong relationship building skills as you’ll be working with the wider council family and other professionals to achieve shared outcomes.
