He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Our Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the effective delivery of medium to large capital works projects.  Through our annual capital programme, you will provide safe, fit for purpose facilities that enrich life in Auckland by engaging people in the arts, environment, sport and events.


With our 6 divisions – Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Conventions, Auckland Live, Auckland Stadiums, NZ Maritime Museum and Auckland Zoo – we strive to create rewarding visitor experiences and positive outcomes for Auckland. 


Our innovative and creative programmes delight more than four million visitors every year as we present engaging and accessible experiences across the city every single day. 

Our landmark venues include ANZ Viaduct Events Centre, Aotea Centre, Aotea Square, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, Auckland Town Hall, Auckland Zoo, Bruce Mason Centre, The Civic, Mt Smart Stadium, North Harbour Stadium and Western Springs Stadium.

He kōrero mōu: About you

You will be responsible for delivering projects within time, quality, and budgetary expectations. With a collaborative approach, you will be able to successfully navigate a complex organisation, while building relationships and liaising with key stakeholders and clients.  You will be responsible for managing projects from the planning and investigation stage through to project delivery.

Proven experience in managing and delivering all stages of the project lifecycle for large commercial projects is essential, as is stakeholder and people engagement, influencing, negotiating and mentoring within a project environment.

To be successful in this role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management level 7 or PRINCE 2 and/or quantity surveying, building, engineering or a similar background is required
  • Experience in managing multiple property or facilities projects end to end.
  • Eight plus years of end to end project management on building projects above $5 million in value
  • Manage project budget, programme and quality.
