Our Strategy and Research department have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Māori Engagement Advisor – Strategy to join the team. This engagement advisory role will maintain and enhance the department's relationships with Māori as strategic advice is developed across the council group

 

The role will also network with staff from across the organisation to facilitate successful development and translation of strategic advice to Māori, while building mutually appropriate relationships aimed at achieving organisational outcomes.

He kōrero mōu: About you 

 

You will have a background working on the delivery of strategy, planning and/or public policy focused projects would be an advantage, particularly those with a high degree of political, Māori, stakeholder and community input.


We will value your sound understanding of te ao Māori, mana whenua and mataawaka relationships in Tamaki Makaurau; and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as well as your ability to work across a broad spectrum of topics and issues, with an understanding of the local government context.

 

You can think critically, guide staff, develop and provide advice on a range of Māori and council issues that lead to relationship centred solutions.
