He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters department has an opportunity for a Senior Healthy Waters Advisor within the Healthy Waters Network Solutions team. 

 

Reporting to the Healthy Waters Network Solutions Manager you will focus on providing general advise to the department (including commercial, statutory, property, and dispute resolution advice) in all areas of work whilst leading a collaborative culture of innovation and new initiatives, continuous improvement (including facilitating and leading initiatives that identify gaps) and ensuring that customer satisfaction is a top priority.

 

Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Managing transactions to support departmental outcomes, and resolving disputes which arise within the department
  • Ensuring all projects apply prudent and robust business and financial management and supporting cost effective and high performing business operations paying attention to Health and Safety management, risk management, project management, whole of life costs, performance management and reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Any planning or work related to growth, including spatial priority and future urban areas is fully aligned with Council’s priorities and direction.
  • Take a role on procurements, including advising on key attribute and acting on the tender evaluation panels.

This role requires experience in commercial, statutory, property and dispute resolution matters with a sound understanding of professional stakeholder consultation. 

 

We will be looking for specific experience with:

  • 3 - 5+ years’ work experience advising the infrastructure sector or local government sector
  • Experience in local government and the associated political environment
  • Public and stakeholder consultation/interaction
  • A bachelor’s degree in law, commerce, or property
