He angitūtanga: The opportunity 
We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to process mail, both hard-copy and electronic, and to provide mailroom services - including the distribution of mail, internal parcel management and courier services. As a Mail Administrator, you'll focus on distributing all services to staff as well developing and maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems for stored, scanned mail. This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday. Starting time varies from 7.30am onwards but the day never extends beyond 5.00pm. This role may occasionally require you to travel to other Council offices to cover team members. He kōrero mōu: About you
You have experience in mail distribution, fast and accurate data entry skills, good written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities throughout the day. Knowledge of bulk mail out processes and use of folding and inserting machines would be an advantage. It is essential that you have experience using PC applications at an intermediate level and an exposure to office mail software and/or envelope inserter. Your ability to work independently is paramount for this role. As this role will require you to distribute mail throughout the buildings, you will need a good level of physical fitness. Postal services or mailhouse experience is highly regarded.

This role pays the living wage of $22.75 per hour.  


This role is deemed safety sensitive and in line with Auckland Council policy, you will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
