Auckland Live is a leader in live arts and entertainment and active contributor to the vibrancy and creativity of our city. We champion Auckland internationally to secure big name shows and concerts, collaborate with national and international arts companies and festivals to present the best variety of performances and introduce young people to the excitement of the stage. Our iconic venues - which include the Aotea Centre, The Civic and Auckland Town Hall - are our stage for presenting a programme of live arts and entertainment for the enjoyment and inspiration of Aucklanders and visitors to our city. 


We are seeking a Graphic Designer ready to step up and craft designs that connect audiences to live entertainment as well as raise our brand profile.

This is a crucial role in a high performing team working closely with external and internal stakeholders.



He kōrero mōu: About you


The successful applicant will be responsible for the conception and delivery of design solutions and collateral to support the needs of Auckland Live and our clients.

They will also ensure visual communications are aligned and developed to increase brand awareness and business objectives.


To be a success in this role you need:


  • a tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or similar
  • at least 3 years' experience in a design studio or in-house environment
  • to be well versed in creating impactful and meaningful design and able to demonstrate a diverse range of their own work, from concept to final execution
  • a highly experienced designer and Mac Operator with good technical knowledge of design tools and keen to adopt the latest innovations
  • design experience in the entertainment or events industry is preferred


You will also demonstrate:


  • High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Adobe Premier Pro and/or After Effects skills a bonus
  • Strong team player with open and collaborative communication style, able to listen, take feedback and work well with a range of stakeholders
  • The ability to think creatively and to provide solutions to a variety of design challenges
