The Property Services department provides building maintenance services to venues within Regional Facilities Auckland, including the Aotea Centre, Bruce Mason Centre, Town Hall, the Civic Theatre and Auckland Art Gallery. We deliver a wide range of arts and cultural activities to inspire and enrich the lives of Aucklanders.


The Building Technician role provides building maintenance support for Property Services within Regional Facilities Auckland. You will work in a diverse team who operate in a creative and dynamic environment. No two days will be the same as your day to day tasks will be varied along with the many locations you will be working at.

The main purpose of the role is to find, assess and complete maintenance work to the highest possible standard and within safety requirements. The maintenance involves diagnosing maintenance needs and repairing facilities where appropriate. Your tasks can include anything from replacing light bulbs, to carpet repairs, and even some painting in areas where required.


He kōrero mōu: About you

To be successful, you will have previous general property maintenance, plastering, painting and/or carpentry skills. You will also have a passion for delivering excellent quality and standards along with delivering high standards in customer service.  You will have strong organisational and time management skills and a can-do, team focused approach.

The key technical experience sought is a building trade qualification or substantial equivalent experience within the building sector.  As you will be working at various locations a current, clean NZ driver's licence is essential. Holding a Site Safe Passport would be very advantageous!
