Auckland Council is on a continued and significant transformation journey and as a result, has grown to become one of the largest Information Communications and Technology Services (ICT) capabilities in New Zealand. This presents a unique opportunity for an experienced ICT professional to come and join us in this exciting complex and energized environment in a full-time permanent role. 

As the ICT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for providing effective support, administration and proactive maintenance of Auckland Council’s server infrastructure, applications, data centre and backup environments.

It is essential that you have at least 4+ years of experience in a similar operations role within a large enterprise organization.

Skills and Experience in:

  • PowerShell scripting skillset
  • PowerCLI VMware
  • Automation
  • VMware vRealize experience would be highly advantages.
  • MS Orchestrator 2016 
  • Business process and re-engineering experience, as well as an understanding of the relationship between processes and policies.
  • A comprehensive background with Server 2003, 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016 2019
  • Microsoft AGPM, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP at an enterprise level
  • Problem Management, Change Management and Incident Management – ITIL V3
  • Storage Area Networks including Hitachi HCP, HPE Synergy, Scality and Nimble is highly desiratble
