He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

As a foreman, you will take a hands-on approach to delivering a high standard of services to key clients through the efficient management of operational resources. This will be done through managing and leading staff members within the team to produce exceptional results, developing relationships with key stakeholders and delivering continuous improvement and operation efficiencies across the division. Utilising your technical expertise, you will help to ensure that sports fields around the Auckland region are fit for purpose with the ability to be used and enjoyed by Aucklanders. Looking after a team who is responsible for ensuring the grass is the appropriate length on the field, line markings are correct, and the pitch is swapped over from cricket to rugby. Good knowledge of Cricket renovations required to assist with delivering Premier grounds within a timely manner, your coordination and organisation skills will be second to none.

To be successful in this role, you'll need the following:
•    Proven leadership experience in an operational business
•    Demonstrated success in leading teams with exceptional people management skills
•    Ability to influence and build strong relationships with key internal and external stake holders
•    Strong programme and project management, time management, planning, facilitation and organisational skills
•    Strong communication skills both written and verbal
•    Passion for sports
•    Due to the nature of the role, it is a requirement that the incumbent holds a valid and relevant New Zealand full driver's license.
