Auckland Council is on a continued and significant transformation journey and as a result has a large Information Communications and Technology Services (ICT) capability. This presents a unique opportunity for an ICT professional to come and join us in this exciting complex and energized environment in a permanent role.

As an End User Compute (EUC) Application Specialist, you will be responsible for taking overall ownership of all EUC owned applications, including lifecycle, upgrade and roadmap management

He kōrero mōu: About you

It is essential that you have 7+ years of experience supporting applications, personal computer, telecommunication equipment.

Your hands-on experience in End User Computing Application management and ownership is paramount for this role. An exposure in the following will contribute to the growth of your role:

  • Requirements gathering or Business Analysis experience around End User Computing applications
  • Application packaging, scripting and application deployment methods
  • Troubleshooting hardware issues on desktops, laptops, mobile, audio-visual and thin- clients
  • Fine tuning basic software, network, device and printing problems
  • Installation, configuration and ongoing usability of computer and communication devices, peripheral equipment and software
  • Administration experience of Exchange and MS Active Directory users, groups and policies

Since this role will be involved in coordination and liaison with all other EUC teams to improve customer service, your excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong negotiation and diplomacy skills will also be heavily put into practice.

Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday; you will have flexibility with how those hours are set. Some of our people begin early, some stay later, and remote working is an option too.
